2010年7月，我在为期两个月的音乐赏析专题讲座中认识xxx同学，并留下深刻印象。她热情开朗，见解独到，知识面广，有很好的探索能力和领悟力。如在进行贝多芬《热情奏鸣曲》专题时，她首先在查阅大量资料并进行分析理解的基础上，对作品内容与作品背景做了全方位的诠释，详细分析作品的三个乐章；继而通过演奏诠释其个人对作品风格的把握和理解，体现了较高的学术造诣和音乐素质。

在讲座期间的交谈中，我明显地感受到xxx同学对古典音乐的热爱以及丰富的知识储备。她非常熟悉西方音乐史，而且思维活跃，能结合音乐理论及其他学科领域的专业知识进行深入思考。据我所知，她从小就开始进行各种音乐实践，如积极参加舞蹈团、合唱团，学习时间长达十余年，为之后进一步的技能和理论修养的提高打下了扎实的专业基础。此外，她还重视音乐教育的实践，时常参加大学里奥尔夫和柯达伊的系列教学活动，努力成为全能型和专业型人才。

随后的一段时间里，我前往xxx同学所在的学校进行学术交流，并了解到她在学校的一些学习情况。xxx同学最大的优点在于她处事冷静认真的态度，遇到专业或非专业的问题时，都能冷静、认真地进行处理，力求完善。本人认为，对于一名立志学习音乐的学生来说，这一优点尤为重要，冷静而又认真的学习态度可使她更加深入地理解并诠释古典音乐。

虽说我与xxx同学接触的时间不是很长，但就她目前所具备的能力和优秀的素养来看，完全值得积极向贵院推荐，希望她可以得到更好的学习机会，更深层次的深造并实现她音乐道路上的梦想！，

I’m so honored to recommend XXX to thinking she would be a great international genius through further study in such a world well-known school.

I met XXX in July 2010 during my two-month topic lecture of music appreciation. She impressed me with her passion, optimism, unique idea, wide knowledge, deep curiosity and nice perception. For instance, with respect to my topic of Beethoven’s Appassionata Sonata, she referred to a lot of literatures, made her own analytical perception and, based on the above, gave comprehensive annotations to the content and background of the works especially the three movements thereof. After that, she proved her original understanding to the style of the works by her excellent performance, which also witnessed her extraordinary academic and musical accomplishments.

I could felt her great passion to and rich knowledge of classical music through my conversations with her during my lecture agenda. She was much acquainted with the history of western music, active in thinking and able to combine musical theory with specialized learning of other subjects for deeper deliberation. As far as I know, xxx started her contact to music since her childhood taking part in dance group, chorus etc. for more than ten years, which consolidated firm basis for her better experience in skills and theory. Besides, she thought much of the practice in music education, often participated in the serial activities of Orff-Schulwerk and Kodaly approaches in college and made efforts to be a versatile but devoted talent.

Afterwards, I visited her school for academic exchange and therefore got to know some of her school life. XXX’s best merit was her self-possession and serious mind to deal with special or general issues offering a perfect answer, which, I think, should be a momentous quality for students who devote to music. Self-possessed and serious attitude to study leads to her better understanding to and performance of classical music.

Though I didn’t have a long enough time to know XXX, I believe that the excellent abilities and qualities she has won’t fail my recommendation of for your school. I hope that she would get better study, receive further study and finally realize her music dream.
